The Plane & Simple was created to share practical travel guides, honest experiences, and destinations that are truly worth your time.

Travel planning can sometimes feel overwhelming, so the goal of this site is to make things easier — helping you discover places, activities, and experiences that are actually worth adding to your itinerary.

Many of the trips featured here are taken with my partner as we explore new cities, local food, and unique cultural experiences around the world. From watching Muay Thai fights in Bangkok to wandering through the streets of Lisbon or enjoying wine in Portugal’s Douro Valley, this blog focuses on experiences that make travel memorable.

How I Travel

The travel guides on The Plane and Simple focus on experiences that help you truly connect with a destination. My travel style is centered around exploring cities through local culture, food, and memorable activities.

Many of the trips featured on this blog include experiences such as:

  • walking tours to learn the history of a city
  • local food and cultural experiences
  • unique activities
  • day trips and excursions from major cities
  • scenic viewpoints, neighborhoods, and local markets

The goal is to highlight the experiences that make a trip feel meaningful — not just the typical tourist checklist.
